The series, from Gossip Girl creator Josh Schwartz, will launch on The CW as part of the network's fall 2011 line-up.
Hart of Dixie sees The O.C. actress Rachel Bilson take on the role of a high-flying Manhattan doctor who moves to the Deep South of America to become a local GP.
The series features an ensemble cast including The Good Wife star Scott Porter, Jaime King, Cress Williams, and McKaley Miller. Porter will reportedly play a love interest for Bilson's character.
Hart of Dixie receives its season premiere on Monday, September 26 at 9/8c on The CW.
