Both Meet Jane and an untitled project from Fairly Legal creator Michael Sardo failed to impress executives, according to Deadline.
Meet Jane, written by Criminal Minds scribe Andi Bushell, starred Molly Parker as Jane, a woman who is forced to spy on her husband when he is suspected of leaking information to Russia.
The project, which also starred 24 actor Rick Schroder as Jane's husband, was originally picked up to pilot in October last year.
The untitled Sardo drama followed Ann Brown, a celebrity psychologist who leaves town to reconnect with her sister, the Dean at a teaching hospital, while taking over as chief of staff at the institute's psych ward.
The Matrix star Carrie-Anne Moss signed up to play the lead role of Ann back in December.
Lifetime has already picked up two new drama series, with Against the Wall and Exit 19 due to begin 13-episode runs later in 2011.
