The 54-year-old actress recently confessed that she hated Sex and the City when she first read the novel on which the HBO series is based.
"I started reading the original book by Candace Bushnell, and I threw it across the room," Cattrall told the Daily Mail. "I found it so depressing - about women who are ready and men who are running. I thought, 'How can they make a series of half-hour programmes about this? And make it comedy, too?'"
However, Cattrall went on to say that she is ultimately happy she signed on to Sex and the City.
"I don't have any regrets," she said. "Samantha gave me a life after 40. She was so powerful, so positive."
The actress recently admitted that she does not like to be considered a sex icon.
Cattrall also revealed that she hopes to get married once again, despite having walked down the aisle three times already.
