Jamie Bamber lands 'CSI: Miami' role

Jamie Bamber has signed up for a guest role on CSI: Miami.

The Battlestar Galactica actor will play a storm chaser named Robbie, according to TV Guide.

When a piece of his equipment is linked to a murder, Robbie will be questioned by Sgt. Tripp (Rex Linn).

Bamber played Lee 'Apollo' Adama on Battlestar Galactica from 2004 to 2009 and currently stars in Law & Order: UK.

He also portrayed the lead character Caolan in NBC pilot 17th Precinct but the project failed to receive a series pick-up.

The Bold and the Beautiful star Brandon Beemer will also appear in CSI: Miami as a male gigolo.

The new season of CSI: Miami premieres on Sunday, September 25 at 10/9c on CBS.
