William Atherton to appear in 'Castle'

The Die Hard star will appear in an October episode of the show, TV Guide says.
He will play a "life-extension researcher" called Dr. Ari Weiss, who is an expert in cryogenic freezing.
Castle (Nathan Fillion) and Beckett (Stana Katic) turn to Weiss while investigating a murder scene with no body.
As well as starring in Die Hard, Atherton's movie credits include Ghostbusters and The Last Samurai. On television, he has appeared in shows such as Life, Desperate Housewives and The Practice.
Michael Dorn and Penny Johnson Jerald have already joined the cast of Castle for the new season, which will premiere on September 19 on ABC.
