Benito Martinez, David Rees Snell join 'Sons of Anarchy'

The Shield stars Benito Martinez and David Rees Snell have signed up for guest roles on Sons of Anarchy.

The FX biker drama was created by Kurt Sutter, who previously served as a writer and executive producer on The Shield.

Martinez will play a member of a Mexican cartel in the fourth season's second episode, according to Entertainment Weekly. The actor played David Aceveda on The Shield and has also appeared on 24, Lie to Me and Covert Affairs.

Snell, who played The Shield's Ronnie Gardocki, will appear in the fourth season premiere as an ATF agent assigned to investigate SAMCRO.

Snell's past credits include guest roles on Criminal Minds, Numb3rs and Hawthorne.

Other Shield stars to have appeared on Sons of Anarchy include Kenny Johnson and Jay Karnes.

Machete's Danny Trejo will also appear in the new season, with Kurt Sutter recently describing the actor as "a badass".

Sons of Anarchy returns to FX on September 6.
