Furlough is being described as a private detective / prison drama, according to Deadline.

Huston recently adapted his 2009 noir novel The Mystic Arts of Erasing All Signs of Death for HBO.
A pilot was produced, directed by True Blood's Alan Ball, but the project was not picked up to series.
Circle of Confusion is also working with Showtime and 24 director Stephen Hopkins on an adaptation of graphic novel Chew.
In June, it was reported that FX was planning to re-shoot portions of drama pilot Outlaw Country before making a final decision on a series pick-up.
