Dancing on Ice executive producer James Sunderland is leaving ITV for FremantleMedia North America.
Sunderland, who prior to Ice worked on Ant and Dec's Gameshow Marathon and Stars in their Eyes, will develop shows for Fremantle in the variety, reality and entertainment genres.
"Over the last 9 years at ITV I have had the time of my life, working on the most exciting entertainment shows, with the best UK talent," said Sunderland. "Moving to FremantleMedia North America is a fantastic opportunity, both professionally and personally, and one that I am incredibly excited about. With the resurgence taking place in variety and 'pure' entertainment in the US, it seems the time is right, and I look forward to working in LA with Cecile and FremantleMedia North America across some of their established output and future hits."
FremantleMedia North America's current lineup of network TV shows in the US includes ratings powerhouse American Idol on Fox, American Inventor on ABC and America's Got Talent on NBC.
"We are thrilled to have James joining us at FremantleMedia North America," said Cecile Frot-Coutaz, CEO of FremantleMedia North America. "His creativity and proven track record will make him an instant asset to our team and we look forward to his fresh ideas as we move forwards into exciting and challenging territory ahead."
