The series is being developed under 'LivePlanet', the pair's production outfit, which is already at work on reality series The Runner for ABC.
"We have a scripted show that [ABC] is just about to give us a full-season order for, right guys?" he joked with ABC executives at Sunday's Television Critics Association Press Tour.
"It's a scripted show that is really interesting, it takes a lot of the themes that we've been dealing with - integrated media - up to the next level," he continued.
"It's mostly geared towards the sophisticated eyes of your television critic audience, so it will play really well to you guys," he told waiting reporters.
"But yes, we are doing a scripted drama, that's the next thing."
