Hugh Laurie will get more than £3.3 million for appearing on House next season, according to Variety.
The new deal with producer NBCU - equivalent to a pay packet of £150,000 an episode - is thought to be worth three times that of his previous contract.
The third season of the show begins September 5 on FOX in the US.
