Queen Latifah has signed on to host a daytime talk show to air in 2013.

The new talk show will be produced by Latifah's Flavour Unit, Will Smith's Overbrook Entertainment and Sony Pictures Television, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

Latifah and her Flavour Unit co-founder Shakim Compere apparently will serve as executive producers along with Will Smith, Jada Pinkett Smith, James Lassiter and Miguel Melendez on behalf of Overbrook Entertainment.

Melendez said: "We have known and admired Latifah for over 20 years, dating back to our music days, to her first television role on The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air, and years after when she worked with Jada on the film Set It Off."

The first feature film for Latifah's Flavor Unit will be a drama titled Percentage starring Cam'ron and Omar Gooding as two New York hustlers, who - after a drug deal gone bad - move to Miami to build a new empire in credit fraud.

The rapper-turned-actress can be seen in the gospel musical Joyful Noises with Dolly Parton.
