Seth MacFarlane, creator of the animated sitcom, recently suggested that a big-screen spinoff would be the perfect way to conclude the series.
"I think it would be amazing," Borstein told Digital Spy. "I would love it. I would love the opportunity to have a longer time to [tell a story]."
She added: "Having an hour-long format, and a longer time to tell a bigger, more intricate story, I think would be a really cool opportunity for Family Guy."
However, Borstein argued that a film version need not mean the end of the long-running Fox series.
"I don't necessarily think that one should be exclusive of the other," the voice actress said. "I think we could continue to do the show and do films, and have a blast."
Family Guy continues on Sundays at 9/8c on Fox.
