The new season of the series will begin on January 27, with Liam McIntyre making his debut as the titular Roman hero, Entertainment Weekly reports.
McIntyre replaced previous star Andy Whitfield after he was forced to leave the show to receive treatment for non-Hodgkin lymphoma.
In September, Whitfield passed away at the age of 39.
McIntyre praised his predecessor in August, saying that he was "amazing".
The actor received advice from Whitfield, who called him to offer "tips on how to get through the gruelling [shooting] schedule".
