American Housewife stars Griffith as Leila, an apparently perfect housewife living in a wealthy area, Deadline reports.
However, Leila begins to hear a voice telling her uncomfortable things.
Nordling will star in the drama as her husband Stanford, a rising star in politics.
Griffith has previously appeared in movies such as Working Girl and Lolita, while Nordling's credits include the television shows Providence, Dirt and 24. He currently has a role in Body of Proof.
Kacey Rohl has also been cast in American Housewife as Leila and Stanford's daughter Harper, who is attracted to one of her father's campaign aides.
Rohl recently appeared in four episodes of The Killing as Sterling and has had guest spots in Fringe and Caprica.
American Housewife is being executive produced with Griffith and her husband Antonio Banderas, while the script has been penned by Band of Brothers scribe Erik Jendresen.
Other projects currently in the works at Deadline include an adaptation of classic movie Steel Magnolias and a romantic drama starring Eric Stoltz and Cara Buono.
