The project, which is currently untitled, focuses on a group of federal agents living in an undercover house in California.
Ferlito has signed up to play Catherine 'Charlie' Lopez, Deadline reports.
Her character, who works for the DEA, is said to be good-looking and strong-willed.
Ferlito has previously appeared in shows such as 24 and CSI: NY, as well as movies like Julie & Julia and Wall Street: Money Never Sleeps.
The USA pilot has been penned by White Collar creator Jeff Eastin and will also star Aaron Tveit as a new FBI agent.
Other projects currently in the works at USA include legal comedy drama Wild Card and Over/Under, about a former day trader who sets up a betting business.
