David Cross has commented that the Arrested Development cast are very excited to be reuniting.

Arrested Development creator Mitchell Hurwitz confirmed in October that Cross, Jason Bateman, Will Arnett and the rest of the show's stars will appear in several new episodes and a feature film.

Cross provided an update on Arrested Development in an interview with Indie Wire when he said that the full cast are "verbally committed" to a reunion.

"No-one wants to be the asshole who ruins it for everyone else. But no-one doesn't want to do it, everyone's excited," Cross said.

The actor went on to say that he has no idea yet what the storyline for the Arrested Development movie will be, adding: "I'm not part of the writing process. We're still several months away from getting scripts."

Netflix announced in November that it will stream Arrested Development's new episodes on its website.

Bateman and narrator Ron Howard have both credited Arrested Development's fans with reviving the series and called on them to keep campaigning for its return.
