The Laura Dern comedy series, written and produced by Mike White, has received much critical acclaim since premiering in October.
However, the recommission has been a surprise to some after it only appealed to small audiences across its ten-part run.
The 30-minute sitcom was last week handed a Golden Globes nomination for 'Best Television Series'.
Jurassic Park actress Dern also received a nod for her performance as the self-destructive Amy Jellicoe, who has a spiritual awakening after suffering a nervous breakdown.
Sky Atlantic is currently screening the show in the UK on Tuesdays at 10pm.
