MTV VMAs: Further performers announced

MTV have announced that Jay-Z and Linkin Park will perform at the 2001 MTV Video Music Awards.
They join a lineup of previously announced performers Jennifer Lopez, U2, Alicia Keys, Britney Spears, Ja Rule, *NSYNC, Staind, and Missy Elliot.
It was also announced that the Backstreet Boys, Christina Aguilera, Destiny's Child, P. Diddy, Eve, Chris Kattan, Mandy Moore, Mya, Gwen Stefani, Ozzy Osbourne, Pink, Estella Warren, Ben Stiller, and Jessica Simpson join the list of presenters.
Previously announced presenters include Aaliyah, Dale Earnhardt, Jr., Jimmy Fallon, Macy Gray, Will Ferrell, Jewel, Nelly, Shaquille O'Neal, Shakira, Mark Wahlberg, and Christopher Walken.
Jamie Foxx is set to host the eighteenth annual awards show. The 2001 MTV Video Music Awards will broadcast live from the Metropolitan Opera House at Lincoln Centre in New York City on Thursday, September 6th at 8PM (ET).
