According to Deadline, the Cruel Intentions actress is rumoured to be the favourite to land the leading female role in the new show, while Dexter and No Ordinary Family star Julie Benz is reportedly in the running to play Sheen's ex-wife.
In the Lionsgate-produced series, Sheen will play Charlie, a former baseball player with anger issues who ends up with a job as an anger management therapist with a difference.
Blair, together with Jenica Bergere (Bones, Saving Grace) and Elaine Hendrix (90210), are apparently auditioning to play a therapist, while Benz is competing against Kate Reinders (Work It, While You Were Sleeping), Saw star Shawnee Smith and Nichole Hiltz (In Plain Sight).
Writer Bruce Helford recently said of the female roles in Anger Management: "They're in their late 30s to mid 40s. So it will probably be someone who had experience and that you'll know. Everyone in the world calls to say they want to do that show."
FX's president John Landgraf also recently admitted that working with Sheen was risky, but added: "I believe in redemption."
