History has released a sneak preview of the upcoming mini-series Hatfields & McCoys.
Starring Kevin Costner and Bill Paxton, the mini-series tells the legendary story of two feuding families - the Hatfields of West Virginia and the McCoys of Kentucky - during the 1800s.
The hateful rivalry, which resulted in many deaths from each side, almost escalated to a war between the men's two states.
Costner will play the role of Devil Anse Hatfield and Paxton will portray Randall McCoy.
Hatfields & McCoys also features Tom Berenger, Powers Boothe, Mare Winningham, Matt Barr, Boyd Holbrook, Jena Malone, Sarah Parish and Lindsay Pulsipher.
Hatfields & McCoys will air for three nights starting on May 28, 2012 on History.
