Williams was cast back in October to play a recurring character in the forthcoming sixth season, reports Deadline.
She is set to play Jacqueline 'Jackie' Clarke, who is the wife of Major General Kevin Clarke.
Army Wives, which premiered in 2007, revolves around women whose significant others serve in the US army.
In 2010, Lifetime decided not to continue with an Army Wives spinoff that would have shown one of the female characters become a detective in Atlanta.
The sixth season of Army Wives premieres March 4 at 9pm on Lifetime.
