Oprah Winfrey to appear on 'Jimmy Kimmel Live's post-Oscars show

Oprah Winfrey will appear on Jimmy Kimmel Live: After The Academy Awards.

The media mogul will join stars including George Clooney, Martin Scorsese, Tom Hanks and Meryl Streep on Kimmel's seventh annual post-Oscars show on Sunday, February 26.

Helen Mirren, Charlize Theron, Don Cheadle, John Krasinski, Emily Blunt, Samuel L Jackson and Cameron Diaz will also make appearances on the programme.

This year's Oscars host Billy Crystal is also scheduled to make an appearance, while Coldplay will draw the show to a close with a block party performance on the Jimmy Kimmel Live outdoor stage.

The show will broadcast from the El Capitan Theatre in Hollywood after the Academy Awards and late local news.

Scorsese's Hugo is this year's leading Oscars nominee with recognition in 11 categories including 'Best Picture' and 'Best Director' for Scorsese.

The Artist, Clooney's The Descendants, Moneyball and War Horse are also multiple nominees, while Streep has been nominated in the 'Best Actress' category for her role in The Iron Lady.

The Oscars air live from the Kodak Theatre on Sunday, February 26.
