The new pilot is about a partying blogger named Dan Dunn (Mike Vogel), who is forced to change his career plans when he joins National Public Radio (NPR) as a host, reports Deadline.
Living Loaded is inspired by a namesake book penned by Dunn, who is also responsible for co-creating the pilot along with It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia's Rob McElhenney and Rob Rosell.
Sutherland will play Dunn's father named Grant, who also happens to be the General Manager of a local public radio station.
The 76-year-old actor can be seen in the upcoming Hunger Games as the villainous President Snow.
The Hunger Games hit theatres on March 23 in the US and UK.
