Ed Helms and Bill Hader have reportedly been signed up to join Mindy Kaling's new TV show.

The Hangover star Helms will reportedly play Wall Street analyst Dennis, a love interest for his Office co-star Kaling's obstetrician character Mira, in the as-yet-unnamed Fox comedy pilot.

According to Entertainment Weekly's Inside TV blog, Saturday Night Live and Superbad star Hader will play Kaling's ex-boyfriend Tom. The character is described as "upbeat, humble, almost infinitely appealing".

The description continues: "He's [the] boy-next-door type who has such perfect chemistry with Kaling's character that it feels nearly too good to be true. Mira sees him as the living breathing equivalent of an early '80s Tom Hanks."

West Wing actor Richard Schiff has also been confirmed as a cast member. He will play a former free spirit who is now a "menschy but accomplished OB/GYN". The character "makes up Yiddish stuff hoping no one will catch him, is terrible with technology and tells stories about the 60s and 70s."

Earlier this month it was revealed that Anna Camp, who plays Sarah Newlin in True Blood, will portray Kaling's best friend in the show.
