The new deal will increase the number of homes that can watch OWN on Comcast from 14 million to 17 million, reports The Wall Street Journal.
When Winfrey unveiled OWN on January 2011, it was available to 80 million homes, but the new Comcast deal will increase its overall availability to 83 million.
Comcast apparently will have to start paying a fee to carry the network in 2013.
Earlier this year, Winfrey confessed that mistakes were made with the way OWN was launched.
She explained: "Yes, some mistakes were made. Who hasn't made mistakes? The real beauty is you can say, 'I learned from that'. I don't worry about failure. I worry about, 'Did I do all I could do?'"
