NBC chief executive Bob Wright has expressed disappointment at the performance of the network's new thriller, Kidnapped.
The show, which occupies the 10pm slot on Wednesdays, made a disappointing debut two weeks ago with 7.5m viewers; its most recent outing averaged just 6.3m, down significantly week-on-week and even on its Biggest Loser lead-in of 7m viewers.
"Kidnapped is clearly a bit of a disappointment," said Wright. "I think we probably just had a show that was maybe too difficult a concept."
