The red-carpet event was also attended by the entire cast of the returning drama, as well as the show's producers. Fans were warned, however, not to discuss details of the episode until after it airs in the States on Wednesday.
Terry O'Quinn, who plays Locke, said he was still surprised at how wildly the show is received. "Believe it or not, this doesn't happen every day," he told the Honolulu Advertiser. "I'm not used to it, but I don't mind it. I've never been to a Hollywood premiere, but can't imagine anything surpassing this."
UK fans will have to hold out a while longer than their American counterparts to watch the new season, with an expected wait of at least six months before it premieres on Channel 4.
