ABC posted another win on Sunday night, led by Desperate Housewives and a strong second outing of Brothers and Sisters.

14.7m viewers tuned in for Extreme Makeover: Home Edition at 8pm, with that number jumping to 21.5m for Desperate Housewives at 9. Brothers and Sisters did well on its second outing with 13.3m viewers at 10pm.

NBC was in NFL coverage all night, with the network averaging 16.5m viewers throughout primetime.

The Amazing Race pulled in 12.2m viewers for CBS, with the network drawing in another couple of million for Cold Case later in the evening. (A football over-run pushed back the network's schedule for the night.)

Fox placed fourth for the night with re-runs of Family Guy and The Simpsons averaging 6.4m viewers between 8pm and 10pm.

The season premiere of Everybody Hates Chris on The CW was watched by 2.4m viewers, close to the network's night-long average of 2.5m.
