US Tragedy: Premiere dates delayed

By
As detailed earlier in the week, NBC was first off the mark delay its Fall premieres by one week. CBS and ABC have now followed suit, outlining similar plans.

An edition of Big Brother 2 was originally scheduled for this Saturday, but was cancelled soon afterwards, with Tuesday's penultimate episode being extended by an hour, pre-empting the live final on Thursday.

The Wolf Lake premiere will now air this Wednesday; having been pre-empted from last week. New CIA drama The Agency will go-ahead with its premiere on September 27, although rumours suggest that the pilot episode (which features a terrorist plot to bomb London, and a reference to Osama bin Laden) will be replaced with another.

ABC has announced simiilar plans, with most premieres occuring in the week commencing September 22nd. News coverage and special reports will dominate the schedule for the next week, however (for the full lineup, click here).

FOX is the only network of the four to not delay premiere week; starting with the That 70s Show premiere on Tuesday. The move is likely to give the station a ratings advantage over its rivals, who will mainly be continuing with live reports and programming.
