'Viva Blackpool' crosses the Atlantic

Various US networks have expressed interest in making an American version of Viva Blackpool, according to Variety.

When it aired on BBC America, the original UK production attracted acclaim from many American TV critics.

Variety reports that Huff's Bob Lowry will write for the US version of the show, which is being jointly developed by BBC Worldwide and Sony Pictures Television.
