The Glee creator's pilot is a favourite to be picked up to series, reports Deadline.
The project, which follows a gay couple who decide to start a family, stars Justin Bartha (The Hangover), Georgia King (One Day), Ellen Barkin (Ocean's Thirteen) and Andrew Rannells (The Book of Mormon).
Anne Heche comedy Save Me is also being lined up for an August series debut. The pilot stars Heche as a woman who, after an accident, believes that she has the power to channel God.
Alexandra Breckenridge (American Horror Story) and Michael Landes (Don't Trust the B**** in Apartment 23) also star in the project, written by John Scott Shepherd.
NBC is planning to debut a number of new series earlier in the year than usual, to tie in with its 2012 Olympics coverage.
Matthew Perry's new comedy Go On is also scheduled for an August debut, along with the second season of supernatural drama Grimm.
