CBS preps '3 lbs' for early launch
Published Monday, Oct 9 2006, 21:11 BST | By James Welsh
CBS is preparing to debut new medical drama 3 lbs far earlier than previously expected.
The Hollywood Reporter indicated on Monday that the network is considering putting the series - picked up in the UK by the BBC - onto the schedule next month instead of saving it for mid-season as originally intended.
3 lbs follows the relationship between a brain surgeon played by Mark Feuerstein (The West Wing, Good Morning Miami) and the surgeon to whom he reports, played by Stanley Tucci.
The news comes just days after CBS axed another drama, the Ray Liotta-starring Smith, due to poor ratings.
