The sports drama concluded in February 2011, but series creator Peter Berg later revealed his intention to produce a follow-up film.
Plemons - who played Landry Clarke - told The Hollywood Reporter: "It's my only experience doing a series and I was really fortunate that it was that one, but we all became so attached to those characters and the send-off [in the series finale] meant so much."
However, the actor added that he would "definitely be interested" in reprising his role for a Friday Night Lights feature.
"It's not that I don't have confidence in the possible stories that they could tell," he explained. "It's just, I can't imagine what they'd be.
"[But] any time you can get Kyle Chandler (Eric Taylor) and Connie Britton (Tami Taylor) together again, at the very least it's going to be really awesome, no matter what the story is."
Plemons will next be seen playing a recurring role in the fifth and final season of AMC's Breaking Bad.
