Kristen Wiig departed SNL in a star-studded tribute last weekend, which saw Mick Jagger sing 'Ruby Tuesday' to her as she danced with castmates, Jon Hamm, Steve Martin and Michaels.
Michaels was asked about rumours that Samberg and Sudeikis will exit Saturday Night Live as well on Monday (May 21).
"You never know," Michaels told The Wrap.
The long-time producer added that he is reluctant to make any decisions about the cast so soon after the season finale.
"I think everyone gets through the season and just the level of fatigue by the end is just overwhelming, and it's a very emotional time," he explained. "I've had a rule since the second season, which is to not make any decisions in June. We'll see in July."
Samberg had seemed likely to leave given that he'd starred in an all-star 'Digital Short' featuring many of his recurring characters on SNL's penultimate episode hosted by Will Ferrell.
He also revived his breakthrough 'Lazy Sunday' music video on the season finale.
Saturday Night Live kicks off its 38th season in the fall.
