The network is putting together a new version of the Wes Craven and Kevin Williamson horror franchise, according to TVLine.

Executives Tony DiSanto (The Hills, Teen Wolf, Teen Mom) and Liz Gateley (The Hard Times of RJ Berger) will executive produce the project.
A search is currently being conducted to find a writer for the new project.
It is currently unknown if Craven and Williamson will have any involvement with the TV series.
The Scream franchise has brought in over $330 million at the global box office, with 2011's Scream 4 grossing $40 million in the US.
MTV has previously found success with Teen Wolf and Awkward among its scripted shows.
Craven has said that a fifth Scream movie is likely, while executive producer Harvey Weinstein has also lent his support for a new instalment.
