'Scrubs' back on NBC's Thursday lineup

NBC is reinstating a two-hour comedy block on Thursday nights by shuffling shows between its Wednesday and Thursday night lineups, it has been announced.
Effective November 30, Thursday nights on NBC will consist of My Name Is Earl at 8pm, The Office at 8:30pm, Scrubs at 9pm, 30 Rock at 9:30pm, and ER at 10pm.
The gaping hole in NBC's Wednesday night schedule between 8pm and 9pm will be filled with "various specials" starting on November 22, although it seems likely in the longer term that the peacock network will slot the displaced Deal Or No Deal episode from Thursday night into the start-of-prime hour on Wednesdays.
A two-hour comedy block on Thursdays was for many years a signature part of NBC's lineup, a fact highlighted by Kevin Reilly, president of entertainment at the network, who made today's announcement.
"We are excited about the prospect of two-hours of top-notch comedy on Thursday nights, which includes the return of Scrubs," said Reilly. "We will stay on-brand with the best comedy block on television, which will position us for the future on the night."
