Kerry Washington, Nick Offerman to reveal 2012 Emmy Awards nominations

Kerry Washington and Nick Offerman have been tapped to announce the 64th annual Primetime Emmy Awards nominations.

The duo will be joined by Bruce Rosenblum, the Chairman-CEO of the Academy of Televisions & Sciences, to reveal the nominations on Thursday, July 19 at 5.40am PST.

Hosted by late-night host Jimmy Kimmel, the 64th Primetime Emmy Awards will be broadcast live from Los Angeles on Sunday, September 23 on ABC.

Washington stars in ABC's freshman series Scandal as Olivia Pope, who starts her own crisis management firm after working as a White House Communications Director for the US President.

She can be seen next in Quentin Tarantino's Django Unchained, which opens to theatres on December 25 in the US and January 18, 2013 in the UK.

Offerman is best known for his role as Ron Swanson in NBC's sitcom Parks and Recreation.
