Jon Bon Jovi has announced he is delaying his appearance in "Ally McBeal" in order to play benefit concerts helping victims of the September 11 terrorist attacks on the United States.
He told MTV:
"I want to lend my name and support to as many of these [benefits] as I can, so I told them, 'Either delay it a month, or I have to withdraw'. David E. Kelley [the creator of Ally McBeal] was really wonderful, because he completely understood and supported my decision wholeheartedly."
Bon Jovi's nine-episode arc is set to begin airing in January.
