'Men In Trees' gets full season order
Published Friday, Nov 10 2006, 13:11 GMT | By James Welsh
ABC has picked up Men In Trees for a full season run, the network has confirmed.
The show, which usually airs on Friday nights at 9pm will replace Six Degrees in the 10pm slot on Thursdays effective November 30. Six Degrees will go on hiatus until January, when ABC says it will return with a run of new episodes.
"We love these two shows and are excited at the promise they have shown," said ABC entertainment president Stephen McPherson. "Thursdays will be a great platform for Men In Trees to reach a larger audience."
The show, which stars Anne Heche as a thirty-something dating guru who moves to Alaska, has averaged around 7m viewers so far. In its new timeslot, it will go up against ER on NBC and Shark on CBS, both strong shows against which Six Degrees has somewhat struggled.
Men In Trees has been picked up in the UK by Living TV.
