A four-minute preview from the Munsters remake, now titled Mockingbird Lane, was shown to appreciative fans of his cult programmes, including Wonderfalls, Dead Like Me and Pushing Daisies.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, the new version of the sitcom will feature Jerry O'Connell (Piranha 3D) as Herman Munster and Portia de Rossi (Arrested Development) as his wife Lily, with Eddie Izzard as Grandpa Munster.
"We wanted this to look like if Hitchcock was directing a Harry Potter film," Fuller told the crowd, and noted that he was inspired to retell the Munsters story after visiting an art exhibit by Tim Burton in New York.
The former Heroes and Star Trek: DS9 screenwriter also claimed that he had seven seasons planned out for Hannibal, a new television retelling of Thomas Harris's first Hannibal Lecter novel.
Hugh Dancy will star as Will Graham, the brilliant criminal profiler on the hunt for a serial killer, and Mads Mikkelsen (Casino Royale) will play the infamous Lecter.
Hannibal has already been picked up for a 13-episode run by NBC, while Mockingbird Lane is still at pilot stage.
When asked about the difficult nature of reboots, Fuller responded: "I'm not afraid of reboots and reimaginations - I'm afraid of bad ones."
