
The period drama - starring Kevin Costner and Bill Paxton - broke several ratings records when it screened in the US on History.
Telling the true story of a decades-spanning feud between two 19th century families in Kentucky and West Virginia, the series will receive its UK premiere in mid-September, Channel 5 confirmed today (July 20).
Tom Berenger, Jena Malone and True Blood's Lindsay Pulsipher also star in Hatfields & McCoys, which averaged 14m viewers on original transmission.
The three-part series was the most recognised mini-series in the recent Emmy nominations, with a total of 16 award nods.
Costner was among those nominated in the category of 'Outstanding Lead Actor In A Miniseries Or A Movie', alongside Benedict Cumberbatch (Sherlock) and Idris Elba (Luther).
