Meryl Streep, Paul Giamatti for Ken Burns 'Roosevelts' documentary

Meryl Streep is reportedly set to play a role in PBS's upcoming Ken Burns documentary The Roosevelts: An Intimate History.

The Iron Lady actress will join actors Paul Giamatti and Edward Hermann to voice members of the political family, The Huffington Post reports.

The seven-part documentary will chronicle the lives of President Franklin D. Roosevelt and his cousin President Theodore Roosevelt, to be voiced by Giamatti and Hermann respectively.

The 63-year-old will provide voice work for Eleanor Roosevelt, wife of Franklin D. Roosevelt.

Streep is gearing up to film the upcoming drama August: Osage County with Abigail Breslin, Julia Roberts and Chris Cooper.

Her latest movie Hope Springs is due for release on August 10 in the US and September 14 in the UK.
