The Office actress stars in the series as Dr. Mindy Lahiri, a Ob/Gyn doctor attempting to balance her work and love life.

Chris Messina, Ed Weeks and Chele Andre also star on the show, which was also created and written by Kaling.
Fox has confirmed that the pilot for the new show will be available on Hulu and the Fox website for two weeks, starting on August 27.
The network will do the same for the pilot episode of another of its new programmes Ben and Kate, which stars Sam Daly and The Descendants screenwriter Nat Faxon.
The Mindy Project makes its television debut on September 25 on Fox.
