Smallville's Kristin Kreuk will star in the new CW drama as homicide cop Catherine Chandler.

Macfarlane will appear in the second episode as Philippe Bertrand, artistic director of a ballet company, TV Guide reports.
When a ballerina is murdered, Catherine will launch an investigation into Bertrand's company.
Canadian star Macfarlane played Scotty Wandell on Brothers & Sisters between 2006 and 2011, and also featured in 2004 Liam Neeson film Kinsey.
Beauty and the Beast - which also stars Terra Nova's Jay Ryan as the eponymous 'beast' Vincent Keller - will premiere on Thursday, October 11 at 9/8c on The CW.
