Warner Bros has begun removing realistic gun imagery from the forthcoming cartoon, reports Variety.

The alterations - which are expected to cost a considerable sum - will include changing the barrels of guns seen in the show from circular to square to give them a more stylised, sci-fi appearance.
DC Comics has also delayed the release of Batman Incorporated #3 by a month. The issue features a teacher who threatens her students with a gun.
Dark Knight Rises composer Hans Zimmer has written and recorded a song for the victims of the shooting on July 20, the proceeds of which will go to the Aurora Victim Relief organisation.
Beware the Batman is scheduled to debut in 2013.
