Perry will play a sports presenter who attends group therapy to overcome the loss of his wife in the new NBC comedy.

"It would be fantastic to get the guys on the show," he told WENN. "Not right at the beginning though. You want to set up that these people are all part of a new thing.

"But further down the line? That would be fantastic. I'd love that."

Matthew Perry recently stated that his time in rehab helped him with his latest role.

The fictional version of Matt LeBlanc in Episodes tried to bring in his Friends co-stars for his TV show Pucks, but only managed to find James Michael Tyler, who played Central Perk owner Gunther in the sitcom.

NBC will air a special preview of Go On on August 8, with the series debuting in full on September 11.
