London 2012 Olympics ratings increase for NBC on Tuesday

NBC continued where it left off on Monday by easily winning the ratings on Tuesday night.

Its continued Olympics coverage dwarfed the rest of the competition by winning both demographic ratings and total viewers.

Last night's coverage - which included Michael Phelps winning a record 19th gold medal - rose from Monday to an average 12.2 18-49 demo rating and 37.48 million viewers between 7-11pm.

So far, the entire Olympics are 13% higher in average than the coverage from Beijing at this stage in 2008.

Elsewhere, ABC's LA Med dropped to a series low of 0.6 (2.79m) at 10pm.

The CW's The LA Complex was level with last week's 0.2 (0.55m) at 9pm.

Fox and CBS aired repeats, with the highest rating going to CBS's NCIS (1.0/6.78m) at 8pm.
