In an interview with Reuters, Munn said that she takes tremendous pride in her time on the Comedy Central series.
"It put me on a different level. I was the first female on the show in seven years and the first correspondent in five years," Munn commented.
She continued: "When you change up something that people watch every day, they are going to take notice."
Munn has since landed roles in the hit film Magic Mike and currently stars as Sloan in Aaron Sorkin's The Newsroom.
"[This is a] very exciting [time]… I don't want this to be temporary," she said of her success.
The Daily Show airs Mondays through Thursdays at 11/10c on Comedy Central.
