Cedric develops comedy for ABC

Cedric the Entertainer is developing a new half-hour comedy for ABC, according to Variety.
The trade magazine reports that Cedric, who has signed a talent deal with ABC and its corporate sibling Touchstone, would have a leading role in the show if picked up. He would play a Los Angeles International Airport security guard juggling his job with being a single parent. The show is being written and executive produced by Bernie Mac creator Larry Wilmore.
