In an interview with The AP, George joked that The Wanted are unlikely to join the prestigious group of 'Best New Artist' winners.
"I think One Direction will win. That is my prediction," he said.
George's bandmate Tom Parker appeared more optimistic, insisting that The Wanted still have a shot to take the prize.
"We could win 'Best New Artist', come on! We are one of the best new artists," Parker declared to his bandmates, adding: "We can take Frank Ocean. We can do this, boys!"
